Q: Why do pet odors return when I use over-the-counter removers?
A: Over-the-Counter remedies treat only the most superficial of urine stains. They deal only with the carpet surface, and do nothing about dealing with the problem of urine soaking through the carpet fibers, through the carpet backing, and sometimes even into the sub-flooring (concrete or plywood).
Red Carpet Floor Care is an expert in diagnosing and treating pet problems. We have a powerful ultraviolet light that will allow us to detect any stains on your carpet.
We clean your more serious pet stains using what's called a "water claw". After saturating the spot through the carpet pad with a special enzyme that actually digests the urine crystals (don't worry, it's actually very safe for children and pets), the water claw allows all of this dirty water to be extracted and sent out to our van for disposal.
One thing to keep in mind is that as a general rule if 20% of the carpet surface is contaminated with urine, then 60% is contaminated underneath the carpet. This is due the fact that liquids tend to spread out when coming in contact with the carpet backing/pad.
